 Women's Racing Minimize

Women's Racing operates under the larger development and sponsored squads of BikeClicks/Team Louisville and  is the developmental wing for our female racers.  The group is comprised of women who are relatively new to the sport of cycling and are looking for competition experience; as well as experienced racers. The larger open squad serves as coaches and mentors. The women of BikeClicks / Team Louisville actively particpate in the local women's only Skirt Ride program, to meet women who want to learn more about cycling and racing - it is on these rides where women can gauge their interest and where our team can gauge new talent.

 Our Mission Minimize

The mission of the Women's Division is to develop new racers across the Kentuckiana area and allow for up and coming racers to upgrade into higher categories of racing.  We exist to teach new racers the basics of bicycle racing and safety and to act as a springboard to more advanced levels of racing.

 Significant Accomplishments Minimize
During the 2008 season, the Women's Division saw one of our members take first place in the overall standing of the Ohio Valley Cyclocross Series, as well as becoming the Kentucky State Cyclocross Women's champion and Kentucky State Mountain Bike Champion. Two members took 2nd and 3rd place in the Kentucky State Championship Cyclocross race, Masters' 35+ category.  One of our members also upgraded to category 3 status and took 3rd place in a National Racing Calendar race.

 Our Goals for 2009 Minimize

For 2009, the Women's Division plans to continue to recruit potential new members through the local women's riding group; Skirt Rides. In growing our division numbers, we hope to become a self standing Women's Squad and have the distinction of being a fully comprehensive developmental Women's Squad.

Currently, the Women's Division has a small number of racers, both new and experienced. The size of the squad varies each year, depending on the interest of new racers and the number of racers who upgrade to higher levels of racing.
